Kallik, a provider of global artwork and labeling management software, has partnered with proofreading technology company GlobalVision to reinforce quality control capabilities across the most highly-regulated industries.

The partnership involves the integration of Kallik’s Veraciti, an end-to-end labeling and artwork management system, with GlobalVision’s Verify, an AI-powered proofreading and quality control tool.

Together, with Veraciti’s ability to manage the entire product lifecycle and Verify’s ability to automate quality checks at every step of the same lifecycle, the aim is to combat the common challenges that pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer health and cosmetics businesses currently face, from speed-to-market to stringent regulations.

Among other challenges, including accelerating artwork and labeling workflows, driving scalability and digital transformation, preventing recalls remains a sustained problem; with the average recall process, often due to labeling and quality control errors, reportedly costing manufacturers up to $5 million per day.

With global regulations becoming increasingly complex and recalls on the rise across regulated industries, there continues to be an urgent need for improved quality control measures, making the partnership between the two software heavyweights timely.

After two decades on the market aiding labeling and artwork processes, Veraciti has become the go-to ally for many of the globe’s biggest pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer packaged goods (CPG) businesses.

The automated, cloud-based and AI-enabled solution offers a series of key features to users, from asset and phrase management and real-time reporting, to full audit trails and automated artwork creation, helping to increase collaboration, efficiency and prevent the risk of human error.

Commenting on partnership, and Veraciti’s role in the integration, Kallik CEO, Gurdip Singh, says, “We know that recalls remain a significant hurdle in a number of highly-regulated industries. Yet despite labeling errors and lapses in quality control being common causes for this headache, I’m still surprised to see that so many businesses don’t have the essential support in place. At Kallik, we recognize the importance of getting it right the first time.

“Although we’re software specialists at heart, our main purpose as a business has always been to ensure the safety of consumers,” adds Singh. “With regulations tightening, product inventories growing and demand for products to be on shelves faster than ever, technology like this has never been more fundamental to delivering on that commitment. That’s why our partnership with GlobalVision aims to put to rest these challenges, giving brands the tools they need to not only rapidly produce content but ensure it provides a defense against the growing error rate.”

When combined with Kallik’s offering, users will benefit from both Verify’s AI-Powered proofreading solution, specially designed for regulated industries, and its centralized platform that contains features such as text and graphics compare, spell check, barcode, braille and QR code inspection.

The integration will also include a number of Verify’s latest innovations, from AI Prep, a technology designed to help automate file preparation tasks, to Graphics Compare 2.0, an enhanced infrastructure for rapid artwork inspections.

Brandon Malz, CEO at GlobalVision, remarks, “We have been long-time partners with Kallik, but our new integration between Verify and Veraciti is a major milestone to creating a seamless and fast-flow of artwork creation, with exceptional quality for our shared enterprise customers. We’re excited to continue innovating together into the future, driving brands to new heights of efficiency and gold-standard quality.”

While the integration is currently being tested, customers of both Verify and Veraciti are assured that the transition will be seamless, with hands-on training provided.
